Omar accuses Trump of pardoning “monstrous criminals” calls it “a disgrace to our country”

In 2 separate tweets, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) let her followers know how unhappy she is with Trump’s pardon of four Blackwater contractors.

Omar wrote in her person Twitter “In 2007, four Blackwater contractors opened fire in a crowded intersection in Baghdad, murdering 14 Iraqi civilians. ”

“This week, Donald Trump granted them unconditional pardons,” she added. “This is a disgrace to our country and to the rule of law.”

Omar wrote in her other Congresswoman Twitter account “Private Blackwater mercenaries Nicholas Slatten, Paul Alvin Slough, Evan Shawn Liberty, and Dustin Laurent Heard are war criminals.”

She added “Pardoning monstrous criminals will leave a dark mark on the history of presidential pardons.”
