Former President Obama is set for a new “60 Minutes” interview this Sunday following the 2020 Presidential election.
Obama is expected to talk about Joe Biden being projected the 46th President by news organizations and his new book titled “A Promised Land.”
“The Promised Land” is the first of what is expected to be 2 volumes of memoirs which will go from the start of his political career, to the 2008 election and finish with the killing of Osama Bin Laden in 2011.
In a statement discussing his new book, Obama said “There’s no feeling like finishing a book, and I’m proud of this one.”
He continued “I’ve spent the last few years reflecting on my presidency, and in ‘A Promised Land’ I’ve tried to provide an honest accounting of my presidential campaign and my time in office: the key events and people who shaped it, my take on what I got right and the mistakes I made, and the political, economic, and cultural forces that my team and I had to confront then — and that as a nation we are grappling with still.”
