NY Times blasted after publishing Op-Ed falsely claiming “it has been 36 years since a man and woman ran together” on the Dem ticket

The NY Times is under fire after publishing an Op-Ed falsely claiming it’s been “36 tears since a man and a woman ran together on a Democratic Party ticket.”

In fact, Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine ran together in 2016, the very last cycle.

Hillary herself noticed the error and tweeted “Either @TimKaine and I had a very vivid shared hallucination four years ago or Maureen had too much pot brownie before writing her column again.”

Yashar Ali wrote “How does an error this significant get past an editor?”

As pointed out by Ali, the NY Times then again messed up in a tweet that did not count Sarah Palin.

This tweet was also deleted and replaced with “Correction: An earlier version of this column incorrectly said it had been 36 years since a man and a woman ran on a Democratic Party ticket. It has been that long since a man chose a woman to run as V.P. on the Democratic ticket. We’ve deleted a tweet that repeated the error.”
