North Carolina Man charged for shooting and killing 5 year old boy

Darius Sessoms, 25, has been arrested by the U.S. Marshals service for allegedly approaching a 5 year old boy, Cannon Hinnant and shooting him dead.

A motive has not been determined in the stunning cold blooded murder.

According to the Washington Examiner, no official motive has been determined, but police say the shooting was not random.

A witness to the shooting said that Hinnant was playing in the street in front of his father’s home when they saw Sessoms, who lives next door, walk up to the child, point a gun at his head, and opened fire before running away.

Hinnant’s mother says the boy’s two sisters, ages 8 and 7, witnessed the shooting.

Sessoms was reportedly on friendly terms with Hinnant’s father, and a neighbor claims the two had dinner the night before and visited with each other on the day of the shooting.

A GoFundMe for the family has been set up.
