Next to Go? Julian Castro Fails to Qualify for Next Week’s DNC Debate

The DNC has announced the 10 candidates who qualified for next week’s Democratic debate.

Noticeably absent is Julian Castro, leading to social media speculation he may be the next to drop out.

Julian Castro took to Twitter on October 21st to warn his campaign may be ending unless he can raise $800k by Halloween.

I’m extremely proud of the historic and bold campaign we have built together.

But this is a critical moment— if my campaign can’t raise $800,000 by October 31st, my campaign will be silenced for good. Help us keep up the fight.

September, Castro made a similar plea.

“I don’t say this lightly: if I don’t make the next debate stage, it will be the end of my campaign,” Castro wrote in a fundraising email.

Now that Castro has officially failed to make the debate stage, it may only be a matter of time until he calls it quits – this time for real.
