Hours before President Trump surprised troops in Afghanistan with a visit, Newsweek writer Jessica Kwong wrote a snarky article claiming Trump was spending his Thanksgiving “Tweeting, golfing, and more.”
After Trump’s Afghanistan surprise, Kwong deleted the tweet, calling it “an honest mistake.”

Many Trump supporters were still upset at the original story and poor reporting.

ALX wrote “The moral of the story would be to REPORT on events as they happen rather than speculate about them.”
And IF you’re going to write about what YOU THINK will happen, put “How ‘I THINK’ Trump will spend Thanksgiving”, not “How IS Trump spending Thanksgiving”. Notice the difference there?
