A new Quinnipiac poll has Joe Biden leading President Trump in the traditional red state of Georgia by a margin of 7 points.
Biden garners 51% of the vote compared to 44% for President Trump.
Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy commented “for Trump, 2016 is a distant memory. Defeating Hillary Clinton by 5 points when the polls closed then, and now down seven to Biden with three weeks to go. Warning lights are blinking red and alarms are going off in the Peach Tree state.”
The same poll has Democrat Jon Ossoff leading Republican incumbent Senator David Perdue 51 – 45 percent in the Georgia Senate race.
2 other recent polls also give Biden a lead in Georgia, albeit a smaller one.
Biden now leads in the state of Georgia according to the RealClearPolitics polling average by just under half a percent.
President Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in the state of Georgia in 2016 by the margin of 50.44% to 45.35%.
