Activist and actress Alyssa Milano had produced a new drama that will be shown on Netflix this holiday season.
In the trailer, one of the characters refers to the U.S.-Mexico border as “an imaginary line.”
The drama is clearly written to portray illegal immigrant families in a sympathetic light with a focus on the theme of family separation.
So proud to share the trailer for the film I produced called #YouAreMyHome. And we just got the great news that it will be on Netflix this holiday season! #FamiliesBelongTogether pic.twitter.com/wcsaAwIAlL

In October, filmmaker Namrata Singh Gujral released “America’s forgotten” a documentary about illegal immigration with a very different tone.
One of the main characters, Sabine Durden lost her son Dominic, when an illegal immigrant who was previously deported crashed into him. The movie is non-fiction.
