NBA player says he regrets season resuming after Jacob Blake shooting

Milwaukee Bucks player George Hill responded to the shooting of Jacob Blake by expressing regret that the NBA season has resumed in the “bubble” of Orlando.

Hill claimed that continuing the NBA seasons has taken the focal point off racial justice issues.

Hill lamented “We can’t do anything [from Orlando]

He added “First of all, we shouldn’t have even came to this damn place, to be honest. I think coming here just took all the focal points off what the issues are.”

Lakers star LeBron James also expressed dismay at the shooting of Blake.

Though James did not express regret the season has continued as Hill did, he did say  “I can’t even enjoy a playoff win right now, which is the sad part.”

James explained  “It’s just quite frankly f—ed up in our community” after his playoff win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

He added “I know people get tired of hearing me say it, but we are scared as Black people in America. Black men, Black women, Black kids, we are terrified.”
