Nadler joins calls from Democrats for Cuomo to resign, says “Cuomo has lost the confidence of the people of New York”

House Judiciary Chairman Jerrold Nadler joined a growing number of Democrats calling for the resignation of embattled NY Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo is facing 6 allegations of sexual misconduct as well as a nursing home data cover-up scandal.

“Gov. Cuomo has lost the confidence of the people of New York,” Nadler said in a statement. “Gov. Cuomo must resign.”

“The repeated accusations against the governor, and the manner in which he has responded to them, have made it impossible for him to continue to govern at this point,” he added.
