MLB World Series Opener Draws Record Low Viewership After Season Featuring “Woke” Openers

Game 1 of the MLB World series made history for record low viewership.

Per the Hollywood reporter “Fox’s broadcast of the game averaged 9.2 million viewers, the smallest audience for a World Series game in Nielsen’s records of total viewers, dating back to the late 1960s.”

Last year, 12.19 million watched the World Series opener.

In July, Major League Baseball chose to join the “woke” social justice movements and many players took a knee during opening ceremonies that involved kneeling and holding a ribbon.

While it’s not known if this directly resulted in record poor World Series ratings, many will speculate.
