Michigan’s largest county reverses course, certifies election results after initial deadlock

Per Adam Brewser:

BREAKING: The Wayne County Board of Canvassers has just unanimously voted to certify the results of the election & called on Michigan SOS Jocelyn Benson to conduct an audit of the unexplained precincts in Wayne County that did not match.

Earlier, President Trump commented when Wayne County had not certified election results.

Per CBS News “the second vote took place after nearly three hours of public comment, during which Detroiters and other Wayne County residents ripped into Republicans on the canvassing board, accusing them of trying to suppress Black votes.”

The report adds “the Board of State Canvassers still has to certify Michigan’s results. That board is also made up of two Democrats and two Republicans and requires at least three votes to certify results.”

Appearing on MSNBC, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson addressed GOP members refusing earlier to certify election results.

“Nothing more than an attempt to misuse these roles to play partisan politics and cause confusion which, again, is kind of the norm that we’ve seen throughout this election,” she said.
