Republican Arizona Senator Martha McSally leads her Democrat Challenger Mark Kelly by 3 in a new Arizona poll.
The Susquehanna polling and research survey is in sharp contrast to other recent polling showing her opponent leading and has McSally with 50% support compared to 47% for Kelly.
Kelly still leads in the RealClearPolitics polling average by 5.6%.
The same poll of 500 likely voters conducted Oct 19-22nd shows Trump edging Biden in Arizona with 46.6 percent of the vote compared to 46.2 percent support from Biden.
Last week, T.J. L’Heureux, the deputy press secretary of Kelly apologized for a disparaging social media post where she referred to police as “worthless f-ing pigs.”
T.J. said in a statement “I deeply regret my comment and apologize for what I wrote — I was wrong.”
“My comment does not reflect who I am or what I believe, and most importantly, it is not representative of what this campaign stands for. The language I used and the sentiment I conveyed do not belong in our political process, which is why I have deleted the tweet,” he added.
