Man Arrested for Allegedly Shooting Driver During BLM Protest in Utah

Utah man Jesse Taggart, 33 has been arrested for allegedly shooting a driver during a BLM protest.

Provo Police wrote:

Mr. Jesse Taggart has been arrested in connection with the shooting in downtown Provo last night. Mr. Taggert is a 33-year-old resident of Salt Lake City. He was booked at the Utah County Jail for the following charges:

Attempted Aggravated Murder, Aggravated Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury, Rioting, Threatening Use of a Weapon in a Fight or Quarrel, Criminal Mischief, Firing a Weapon Near a Highway.

SLC Police department wrote:

We assisted Provo Police in locating and arresting Jesse Taggart. Incidents like these are not the way to make your voice heard and we are grateful this did not occur in Salt Lake City at the many protests he has attended.
