Liberals Upset By Justice Gorsuch Appearing on Fox & Friends, Saying “Merry Christmas”

Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch appeared on Fox News this morning to discusses his judicial philosophy and the importance of separation of powers in his new book “A Republic, If You Can Keep It.”

Many liberals online sounded off and did not like the fact he said “Merry Christmas”

Amee Vanderpool wrote:

Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch just appeared on Fox and Friends this morning, making a point to parrot the “Merry Christmas” talking point of the GOP. If he’s willing to go on Fox and throw a shout out to Republican narratives, what ele is he willing to do?

Michael Raymond Fox agreed, writing:

Regardless of the outcome of elections, the Right is succeeding in prolonging the white male power structure. Gerrymandering, the electoral college, and the stealing of the judiciary. 26 small states elect a majority of Senate seats, comprising only 18 percent of the population!

Matthew Kolken took the opposite stance, writing:

I’m a secular Jew and an outspoken Libertarian. This time of year I always greet people with Merry Christmas. It just makes me feel good. Maybe you should lighten up a little, and partake in the Christmas spirit. Who knows, you may actually like it.

BOriole then replied:

I’m a 4th grade Hebrew school dropout and find it offensive when people wish me a Merry Christmas as if we’re all gentile and Jews are invisible. He’s supposed to be a justice for all the people not just gentiles — a little awareness of that would go a long way.

Ashlee wrote:

This is beyond improper. Justices used to uphold the honor of their office.

Critics of Gorsuch’s appearance also had a supporter in CNN’s Brian Stelter, who wrote:

Justice Neil Gorsuch is on “Fox & Friends” right now. The Q: How is it appropriate for a Supreme Court justice to try to goose sales of his three-month-old book by chatting on one of the most partisan shows on TV?
