Less than 300 votes separate former Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Jerry Sheridan for the Maricopa County Sheriff Republican Primary.

Sheridan currently leads with 128,514 compared to Arpaio with 128,229.

More than 60% of votes are outstanding making this race likely to go down to the wire as a nail biter.

Joe Arpaio, 88, was pardoned by President Trump.

He is trying is to win back the sheriff’s post that he held for 24 years.

Jerry Sheridan was his former second-in-command.
