Lead impeachment manager speaks out after Trump acquittal, says “History will record his terrible constitutional crime”

Following President Trump being acquitted in his Senate impeachment trial, lead impeachment manager, Jamie Raskin issued a brief statement on Twitter.

The Maryland Democrat tweeted “on the most bipartisan presidential impeachment vote in the history of the country, a powerful majority of both houses of Congress found that the former President incited violent insurrection against the Union & the Congress. History will record his terrible constitutional crime.”

He added “my profound thanks to the American people for engaging so passionately with this crucial process & to our remarkable House impeachment managers & staff for their solemn work.
