Larry Elder dominates Republican recall field to replace Newsom

According to a new report from the Los Angeles Times “a new poll shows the effort to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom is struggling but that conservative talk show host Larry Elder is dominating the Republican field to replace him.”

“Among likely voters, 26% favor Elder, compared with 5% for former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer and 3% each for Rocklin Assemblyman Kevin Kiley and Rancho Sante Fe businessman John Cox, whom Newsom trounced in the 2018 gubernatorial election,” the report adds.

On August 10,  Elder tweeted that “Clint Eastwood just contacted me with a message of his support. A shout out to Mr. Eastwood. You made my day.”
