Sunday, Jesse Watters interviewed Portland Mayor candidate Sarah Iannarone who openly tweeted last year “I am Antifa” and is not backing down from her support of the far-left group.
Iannarone will face incumbent Mayor Ted Wheeler in a runoff election on Nov. 3.
In May, Wheeler received 49.4% of the vote and Iannarone received 23.8%.
Last January, Iannarone wrote “to those who say Antifa are violent thugs: I am not a violent thug and I am Antifa.”
She continued I am Antifa because the Red Hats are coming after brown & black people, after Jews, after queer & trans people, and more.”
“They are coming after our democracy. #HolocaustMemorialDay #NeverForget” she added.
Portland mayoral candidate @sarahforpdx has stated "I am antifa" in writing. Those words were later echoed by the Tacoma firebomber & Portland shooter before their deadly attacks.
