Jenna Ellis accuses Raffensperger of “running out the clock” after he finally agrees to statewide signature review

Friday, Ryan Fournier tweeted “After weeks of waiting, Georgia will now conduct a signature audit on their ballots.

He then asked “What took so long?”

Trump attorney Jenna Ellis replied “They are running out the clock.”

After weeks of pressure from President Trump and countless tweets pleading for them to do so, Georgia has finally announced Thursday they will be conducting a statewide signature review of the November election.

Per the press release Secretary of State Raffensperger will be partnering with “University of Georgia on a statewide review of signature match in the Peach State. The partnership will help instill confidence in Georgia’s absentee ballot system in future elections.”

Raffensperger said “we are confident that elections in Georgia are secure, reliable, and effective. Despite endless lawsuits and wild allegations from Washington, D.C. pundits, we have seen no actual evidence of widespread voter fraud, though we are investigating all credible reports.”

He added “Nonetheless, we look forward to working with the University of Georgia on this signature match review to further instill confidence in Georgia’s voting systems.”

On December 3rd, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp called for a signature audit and said it needed to be initiated by Raffensperger.
