Ilhan Omar Tweets About “Hateful Ideology of White Nationalism” Calls it a “National Security Threat”

On the same day ISIS terrorist leader Baghdadi was declared dead, Ilhan Omar tweeted about “the hateful ideology of white nationalism.”

Omar wrote:

1 year ago we witnessed the deadliest anti-Semitic attack in our nation’s history at the Tree of Life Synagogue. Holding the victims and survivors in my heart today.

We must confront the hateful ideology of white nationalism and treat it like the national security threat it is.

After staying silent several hours after Trump announced the death of Baghdadi, Omar did tweet about the incident, writing:

Abu Bakr al Baghdadi was an evil man and a terrorist, who terrorized the world with violence and a message of hate.

The world is a safer place without him.

We have deep gratitude for the brave men and women who carried out this dangerous operation.

Omar also retweeted David Weissman, who wrote:

Democrats have no problem in condemning those that deserve it, regardless of the ideology. Why can’t Republicans?

Fellow “squad” member AOC did not comment on Baghdadi’s death on Twitter the entire day, though she did attack Facebook twice.

Rashida Tlaib also chose to ignore the news on Twitter entirely, not dedicating a single tweet to the landmark event.
