House Republicans will join Trump during his border visit next week

Roughly a dozen House Republicans, members of the Republican Study Committee are expected to join former President Trump during his border visit next week.

Rep. Jim Banks, who leads the committee blamed Biden the surge in migration in recent months at the border and worsening conditions.

“That’s why the RSC has made carrying on the Trump legacy on immigration our top priority this Congress and why we are heading to the border with President Trump to explain how we can end this national embarrassment,” Banks said in a statement given to the Washington Examiner.

Wednesday, Trump took credit for VP Kamala Harris finally announcing her own visit to the border a few days before Trump’s.

In his statement, Trump says “After months of ignoring the crisis at the Southern Border, it is great that we got Kamala Harris to finally go and see the tremendous destruction and death that they’ve created—a direct result of Biden ending my very tough but fair Border policies…”

“If Governor Abbott and I weren’t going there next week, she would have never gone!” he added.
