Hollywood Celebs Demand Trump Resign Amid Woodward Audio Release

Several Hollywood celebrities are calling for President Trump to resign amid controversy from Bob Woodward’s audio release from an interview with President Trump.

In the tapes, recorded on March 19th, referring to Covid-19 response, Trump says “I wanted to always play it down. I still like playing it down because I don’t want to create a panic.” he adds.

Responding to the controversy, Trump explained “I don’t want to create panic…We want to show confidence. We want to show strength as a nation.”

Multiple celebrities are calling on President Trump to resign.

Joy Behar of “The View” wrote to Rep .Jim Jordan “Your president knew that Covid would kill us and he lied about it. #resignnow”

Behar demanded Trump resign in several other tweets as well.

Comedian Rosie O’Donnell is also calling for Trump to resign.

“Star Trek” actor George Takei wrote “President Trump must resign. #TrumpKnew

Actress Mia Farrow wrote “Trump knew back in late January. You have to wonder how many lives would have been saved if he had only told the truth to the American people and advised them how to stay safe. Many, many thousands would be alive today. He should resign”
