Hirono on Biden nominee withdrawal “another example of how women’s righteous indignation and justifiable anger are weaponized against us”

Wednesday, Hawaii Senator Mazie Hirono reacted to the nomination of Neera Tanden being withdrawn after it appeared likely she would not have the votes to be confirmed.

Preet Bharara wrote “If you post years of vile false divisive tweets you can be POTUS. But if you’re somewhat mean you can’t be OMB director. Ok.”

Hirono replied “It’s curious how GOP Senators who spent 4 years largely silent about Trump’s lying, aggressive, sexist, and racist tweets are suddenly so offended by Neera Tanden.”

“Another example of how women’s righteous indignation and justifiable anger are weaponized against us,” she added.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked about Tanden.
