Hillary Praises Gov. Cuomo in Her Only Memorial Day Tweet, Ignores Military

In her only tweet on Memorial Day, Hillary Clinton praised Governor Cuomo but did not praise our military or veterans. Nothing was said about our fallen soldiers in Hillary Clinton’s only Memorial Day tweet.

I’m missing our Chappaqua Memorial Day parade today while also feeling grateful to leaders like @NYGovCuomo for making responsible decisions to keep people safe.

Wishing everyone a safe and healthy holiday. @BillClinton and I will be waving our flags at home.

In stark contrast, President Trump tweeted on memorial day a meme that wrote:

“WE CAN NEVER REPLACE THEM.

WE CAN NEVER REPAY THEM.

BUT WE CAN ALWAYS REMEMBER THEM.”

As you see below in the screenshot of her tweet stream, Hillary only tweeted once on Memorial Day.

It was a curious choice choosing a photo that highlights herself, Gov. Cuomo and Bill Clinton when most other politicians made a conscious effort to tweet images of American flags, graves and soldiers.

All 4 photos he included are of soldiers and graves, none of himself.

Cuomo has been under fire for his handling of nursing home policies in NY amid the coronavirus.

Earlier this month, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) tweeted:
