Greta Thunberg says people are waking up to racial injustice as they have with climate change

In the wake of the Black Lives Matter protests, Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg says that people are ‘waking up’ to racial injustice in a similar way to climate change.

Greta Thunberg:

Both of these crisis are symptoms of lack of respect for each other and for the natural world, for fellow human beings basically.

But I think that we’re now with the Black Lives Matter protests it really shows that people are starting to wake up to these injustices and we can no longer continue to sweep these things under the carpet and ignore it…

It could be equality, it could be racial justice, gender equality, also see that with the #Metoo, but also sustainability, that by the climate crisis. So I think people are starting to wake up to these things more and more right now.
