Former Trump acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grennell blasted the 50 senior intelligence officials who in October claimed the disclosure of emails purported to belong to Hunter Biden had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.””
Grenell wrote “None of these people had been briefed on the matter when they wrote this letter in October, but they used their intel backgrounds to manufacture a political distraction in coordination with their go-to advocate @NatashaBertrand”
“They were all wrong,” he added.

October 19th, Former Obama Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Former Obama CIA Director John Brennan and over 50 other former intelligence officials have signed a letter laying out their suspicion of Russian involvement in the Hunter Biden email release.
The letter admit “we do not know if the emails, provided to the New York Post by President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, are genuine or not and that we do not have evidence of Russian involvement.”
The letter stated “There are a number of factors that make us suspicious of Russian involvement.””
The letter also argued “Our view that the Russians are involved in the Hunter Biden email issue is consistent with two other significant data points as well. According to the Washington Post, citing four sources, “U.S. intelligence agencies warned the White House last year that Giuliani was the target of an influence operation by Russian intelligence.”
