Graham blasted by Trump supporters after saying he won’t object January 6th

Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina announced he will not be joining the effort of a group of GOP Senators led by Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley to object to the electoral college certification January 6th.

Graham wrote “Proposing a commission at this late date – which has zero chance of becoming reality – is not effectively fighting for President Trump.

He added “It appears to be more of a political dodge than an effective remedy.”

Graham wrote in follow-up tweets “I do look forward to hearing from and will listen closely to the objections of my colleagues in challenging the results of this election.

They will need to provide proof of the charges they are making.

They will also need to provide clear and convincing evidence that the failure to act – in both the state and federal courts and the states legislatures which investigated these claims – was made in error.

They will also need to show that the failure to take corrective action in addressing election fraud changed the outcome of these states’ votes and ultimately the outcome of the election.”

He added “My colleagues will have the opportunity to make this case, and I will listen closely. But they have a high bar to clear.”

One Trump supporter, Errol Webber wrote “So you used MAGA to get re-elected and now do this? Disgusting.

Another asked “When is the GOP going to dump Lindsey?”

Tom Vaughan wrote “Good God, man, you haven’t been engaged the last two months? You don’t have a team working on this? You have no conclusions of your own?”
