GOP Rep. Rips Pelosi’s Attempt to Spend $19 Billion on “Relief” With NO VOTE

Republican Rep. Chip Roy recently thwarted Nancy Pelosi and Democrats’ $19 billion-dollar relief package, while many lawmakers had already left Capitol Hill for the long weekend.

“If I do not object, Congress will have passed a bill with $19 billion without being here to vote on it,” said Roy, who noted that the legislation did not address the border crisis, or provide funding for President Trump’s planned barrier.”

In a later statement, Roy explained, “We should have had a vigorous debate and we should have a debate about why we’re not securing the border and why we’re spending money we don’t have.”

Conservatives agreed, and took to Twitter to praise Roy for his standing strong against Democrats and fighting for border security.
