GOP Rep. introduces bill to ban “Critical Race Theory” from Military Academies

Rep. Mark Green (R-TN) has introduced a bill to ban “Critical Race Theory” from Military Academies.

He explained in a press release “Critical Race Theory is based on a massive and purposeful misunderstanding of the American founding, American history, and America as it exists today. This is a Marxist ideology created to tear American institutions down. It teaches Americans and members of the Armed Services to judge one another by the color of their skin instead of by the “content of their character.” America should never go back to this kind of thinking. A curriculum based on Critical Race Theory seeks to divide Americans instead of unite them.”

“The United States military service academies are designed to train leaders and warriors for combat—men and women of every race, creed, and religion. Critical Race Theory’s divisiveness will destroy the unit cohesion necessary to win in combat and defend this nation,” he added.

FreeBeacon reported last month “administrators at West Point are embracing the radical racial politics that have taken hold over many American campuses, according to documents reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon. The prestigious military institution will not only adapt critical race theory into its curriculum but will also use such practices in admissions. A West Point diversity and inclusion plan for 2020 to 2025 said that in order for the academy to remain competitive with the civilian sector among potential applicants, the school must appeal to the sensibilities of “America’s younger generation.” Inclusivity will matter just as much as marksmanship, according to the documents.”

Sunday, Candace Owens tweeted “if you’re looking for institutional racism, it exists within Critical Race Theory.”

“Ban it. At every level. It is the new Jim Crow,” she added.
