House GOP lawmakers are pushing to have Ilhan Omar removed from committees at the same time Democrats are seeking to have Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene removed from committee assignments.
Republicans are arguing that Omar has made anti-Semitic comments that are grounds for dismissal.

The Republicans leading the charge on the proposed amendment to have Omar removed from committee assignments are Reps. Brian Babin (R-TX), Jeff Duncan (R-SC), Jody Hice (R-GA), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), and Ronny Jackson (R-TX).
Omar faced criticism for tweeting in 2012 “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel.”
However it was in Feb. 2019 after she was in office that Omar triggered mass backlash after she wrote “It’s all about the Benjamins baby” in response to a tweet about Kevin McCarthy’s vow to take “action” against her over her criticism of Israel.
In another controversial tweet, Omar suggested corruption by AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.
Omar later deleted the tweets and wrote “Listening and learning, but standing strong”

Many were not impressed with her apology.
You apologized in paragraph 1 and then Reaffirmed your believes in paragraph 2 of what you apologized for in paragraph 1.

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice? No thanks.
Sorry @IlhanMN, no one accepts your ‘apology’. You knew exactly what you were saying. As you did each of the previous times you expressed your vile bigotry & Antisemitism.
Shame on you! You are an embarrassment to Congress!
