GALLUP: Approval of Democrat-led Congress sinks to 18%

Congressional approval has sunk to a new low of 18% as Democrats retain control of the House, Senate and White House.

Gallup reports that “the latest five-percentage-point decline in congressional approval is largely attributed to a 10-point decline among Democrats whose frustration appears to be mounting with their party’s senators and representatives who hold majorities in both houses of Congress.”

Between 1990 and 2005, congressional job approval averaged 42%. Since then, it has averaged half of that 21%, making 18% below the median.
