While House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Salon visit has dominated headlines for 2 days now, you would not know from looking at he Twitter feed, as she has not devoted a single tweet to it.
That is, unless you look at the replies.
Pelosi wrote yesterday “Today, we mark 75 years since the end of World War II and honor the courageous efforts of those who stood together against tyranny. #WWII75“
In a follow up tweet she shared a photo of herself at a memorial and wrote “We will forever be in debt to these heroic men and valiant women for their service and sacrifice.”
The photo did not exactly elicit the responses Pelosi was probably going for.
Twitter users mocked the House Speaker with comments such as “Fresh out of the salon” and “Hair looks great, as if someone tricked you into getting it done”
Others wrote “I thought you had your hair done, looks the same. Was it worth all the backlash, just for your own vanity. #hypocrite“
“PHOTE OP????? Where the heck is your mask Nancy???? ps. – Hair looks great.”
“Open our country Nancy.”
And then there were the memes.
“The powerful blaming the little guy. How nice.”
“I take responsibility for trusting the word of the neighborhood salon that I’ve been to many times. It was a set up, and I take responsibility for falling for a setup. I think that this salon owes me an apology, for setting me up”
