Fauci says COVID-19 vaccinations could be mandatory in some schools

During an interview with Newsweek, Dr. Anthony Fauci who will soon be a chief medical advisor to Joe Biden said mandatory vaccinations in some schools could be possible.

“I’m not sure [the vaccine] going to be mandatory from a central government standpoint, like federal government mandates,” Fauci said, adding he’s “sure” that some individual institutions will require it.

“A citywide school system might require it in some cities but not other cities. And that’s what I mean by things not being done centrally but locally,” Fauci added.

Fauci also suggested the vaccine may be required in other countires.

“So we, in this country, don’t require [people] to get a yellow fever vaccine when you go someplace. It’s the place to which you are going that requires it,” he said.
