Ethics complaint filed against AOC for attending ritzy Met Gala “There are serious questions

A conservative watchdog group has filed an ethics complaint against AOC for attending the ritzy and exclusive Met Gala event.

The American Accountability Foundation wrote in a statement “There are serious questions about whether or not her ticket — donated or purchased with campaign funds — was permissible under the code of congressional ethics.”

“These rules exist for a reason. Without strict adherence, we run the risk of corruption in the halls of Congress and public officials serving others over their constituents. Government has a responsibility to its citizens, and integrity and accountability should be our foremost concern,” they added.

Per NBC News “The event boasts Hollywood celebrities and influencers every year, and tickets for the event reportedly cost $35,000, while tables, which are typically sponsored by companies, range between $200,000 and $300,000.”

Reacting to AOC’s Met Gala “Tax the Rich” dress, Donald Trump Jr. asked:

What makes @AOC a bigger fraud:

The “tax the rich” dress while she’s hanging out with a bunch of wealthy leftwing elites or the lack of masks after spending the past 18 months as one of the biggest authoritarian mask Karens in the country?
