Effort to recall Newsom exceeds 1.5 million signatures, making recall election likely

The effort to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom has now exceeded the key number of 1.5 million signatures.

The signatures still need to be verified and if that passes muster, the recall election against Newsom could happen sometime this summer, per KGTV.

Per Newsmax “President Joe Biden said last week that he opposes the effort to recall Newsom, and White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said on Twitter that the president and governor share interests in addressing the pandemic and the climate crisis.

The report adds “there have been other efforts to recall Newsom, but the current attempt is gaining steam because of the public sentiment over COVID-19 lockdowns that have closed schools and businesses.”

Kevin Falconer, Republican candidate for Governor tweeted last week:

Gavin Newsom won’t listen to our struggles, so he will have to deal with our signatures, all 1.5 million of them.

A recall is on the verge of happening, and better days are coming.
