Dershowitz says he’d defend Trump again “he has not committed a constitutionally impeachable offense”

Legal Icon Alan Dershowitz said that he would be willing to defend President Trump a second time if he is impeached again.

Dershowitz told The Hill, where he is an opinion contributor “he has not committed a constitutionally impeachable offense and I would be honored to once again defend the Constitution against partisan efforts to weaponize it for political purposes.”

Trump was impeached in December of 2019 but acquitted by the Senate, with Mitt Romney being the only Republican to vote to remove and convict Trump.

In order for Trump to be convicted if impeached again, 66 Senators would have to be in favor of removing Trump.
