Demonstrators in Front of Pelosi’s Home String Blow Dryers, American Flag on Tree

In a viral video posted by Jessica Christian of the SF Chronicle, protesters are seen outside House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s home.

They are stringing up curlers and blow dryers on a tree. In subsequent videos, they add the American flag and dub the tree the “Freedom Tree.”

Christian states “None of these demonstrators in front of Nancy Pelosi’s home are salon owners or workers. They’ve all described themselves “angry salon customers” who want to get their hair and nails done”

In this video demonstrators form a hand-holding circle around a tree with blow dryers and hair curlers.

They are upset because they want to go to the salon.

In these videos the American flag is added to the “Freedom Tree.”

During an press conference earlier today, Salon owner Erica Kious continued to deny she “set up” Pelosi and argued Pelosi was the one who needed to apologize.

Kious said “Hairstylists and other small business owners in San Francisco and elsewhere are doing what they need to do to survive. The point of releasing this video was to show a woman in a high-risk age group who spends much of her time on TV warning about the dangers of COVID-19, feel safe and comfortable in a San Francisco salon, and can be responsible for being cautious and mindful.”

Kious continued “Why can’t the rest of San Francisco and the rest of America do that too?”

Krystal and Saagar of HillTV commented on Pelosi blaming Salon Owner Erica Kious and accusing her of a “set up” during a recent segment.
