With the 2020 election just days away, NY Attorney General Letitia James, a Democrat, said that the state investigation into Trump’s family and business will proceed whether or not he wins re-election.
Appearing on MSNBC James told host Ali Velshi “We will continue that investigation, and at this point in time there’s nothing more that I can say other than the fact that they have used every legal attempt to block and to deny us information and to witnesses.”
“We filed requests to compel and we were successful,” she added.
Asked about accusations political bias, James fired back.
“I keep hearing this. I know Eric Trump has accused me of bias. The NRA have accused me of bias,” she said “a number of elected officials have accused me of bias. Some Republican attorneys general have accused me of political bias. I just put my head down and just go to work.”
Meanwhile, James says she has a “long list” on laws Trump put in place she hopes will be undone by the Biden administration.
“We’re preparing a list. And the list is long,” she said. “We’ll have a team of individuals, again, working on reversing all of the bad regulations and laws that have been put forth. We will work with the Biden administration to ask them to file stays in a number of cases that are pending in the courts all across this country.”
