Appearing on “Face the Nation” Sunday, Rep. Val Demings (D-F) blamed the shooting death of a man during conflicts between Trump supporters and BLM activists on military and homeland security being “politicized.”
“This is exactly what happens when homeland security, the intelligence community, the military who are charged with protecting our homeland, are politicized.” Demings said during her appearance.
The Florida Democrat defended the right to demonstrate but said the law needs to be enforced. “We don’t condemn those who are obeying the law because of those who do not obey the law,” Demings said. “We can do both, and we have done both.”
