Demands for Biden’s resignation grow in wake of Afghanistan debacle

Demands for Biden’s resignation are growing among Republicans amid a widely criticized debacle in Afghanistan resulting in a Taliban takeover of the country.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene announced Thursday she will be submitting Articles of Impeachment against Biden today.

Senator Josh Hawley tweeted “This is the worst foreign policy debacle since Vietnam, due to Joe Biden. He has lost the confidence of the American people and the ability to lead. Biden’s entire defense and foreign policy team must resign, and there must be a full congressional inquiry.”

Rep. Tenney wrote “In addition to a full congressional inquiry, which must happen immediately, today I am reiterating my call for President Biden to resign from office following his unilateral, reckless retreat from #Afghanistan.

She later adds “As our adversaries watch on, one can only imagine they have determined America is vulnerable right now. The American people are at risk, and we cannot afford to wait for the next crisis to strike. President Biden is not up to role of Commander-in-Chief and should resign. (6/6)

Rep. Stefanik wrote “Joe Biden is not well. Americans are in harm’s way behind enemy lines because the President of the United States is unfit for office.”
