Dem Rep. flew to D.C. to vote for Pelosi after announcing positive COVID test 6 days earlier

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is under fire for allowing Democrat Gwen Moore to travel to D.C. to vote for her as Speaker despite her testing positive for Covid on December 28th.

Moore tweeted Dec 28th “I tested positive for COVID-19. I am following guidance from my doctor and am isolating from others. I am thankful to be feeling well. And I do not foresee this disrupting my work for Wisconsin’s Fourth.”

An aide defended the move and said Moore “has worked with doctors and is safe to travel.”

However, several Republicans blasted Pelosi and accused her of hypocrisy.

Rep. Ken Buck tweeted “Pelosi is putting the public’s health at risk to keep herself in power.”

Rep. Bruce Westerman wrote “Looks like @SpeakerPelosi’s proxy voting and remote hearing measures are only essential when her leadership position isn’t on the line.”

Singer John Rich wrote “If @SpeakerPelosi can call in a COVID POSITIVE congresswoman to the People’s House to vote for her today, then I don’t want to hear ONE MORE WORD of bulls*it from Dems about how I must be shackled by the virus. I will NOT submit to liars and hypocrites!”
