Dem lawmakers to introduce resolution censuring Greene, call for her to resign

2 Democrat lawmakers, Reps. Nikema Williams (D-GA) and Sara Jacobs (D-CA) announced plans to introduce a resolution to censure Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) while also calling for her resignation.

Williams said in a statement Monday “congresswoman Greene’s comments and actions are dangerous, unpatriotic, and a clear threat to every Member of Congress.”

She added “it would be irresponsible for us to allow her to use the ‘People’s House’ as a platform to peddle discredited conspiracy theories that only fan the flames of hatred and violence.”

Moments ago California Democrat Sara Jacobs tweeted “I can’t actually start fires with a space laser, but I can hold Marjorie Taylor Greene accountable for saying I can and calling for the execution of our nation’s elected leaders. That’s why I introduced legislation to censure her & call for her resignation.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene issued the following statement in response to controversy.

Greene also tweeted:

Rep. @CoriBush is the leader of the St. Louis Black Lives Matter terrorist mob who trespassed into a gated neighborhood to threaten the lives of the McCloskey’s.

She is lying to you. She berated me.

Maybe Rep. Bush didn’t realize I was live on video, but I have the receipts.
