Defiant Cuomo says “No, there is no way I resign. Let’s do the attorney general investigation, let’s get the findings”

Amid increasing calls to step down amid a nursing home scandal and 5 sexual misconduct accusers , a defiant NY Governor Andrew Cuomo is pushing back.

“No, there is no way I resign. Let’s do the attorney general investigation, let’s get the findings, and then we’ll go from there,” Cuomo said.

“There is politics in politics,” Cuomo added “They don’t get to hear an allegation and make a determination on the allegation.”

New York Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins (D) is one of many Democrats calling on Cuomo to resign.

“We have allegations about sexual harassment, a toxic work environment, the loss of credibility surrounding the Covid-19 nursing home data and questions about the construction of a major infrastructure project,” Stewart-Cousins said in a statement.

Per Fox News “the Associated Press, citing an unnamed source, reported that Cuomo had a brief phone conversation with Stewart-Cousins and told her that he would not quit and that if they want him out of office, they would need to impeach him.”
