Critics of Tucker Carlson called for him to be fired and #FireTuckerCarlson trended on Twitter after a segment where he discussed 17 year old Kyle Rittenhouse who shot two protesters fatally during a chaotic confrontation.
During the segment, Carlson said “Kenosha has devolved into anarchy because the authorities in charge of the city abandoned it. People in charge, from the governor of Wisconsin on down, refused to enforce the law. They stood back and watched Kenosha burn.”
He asked “So are you really surprised that looting and arson accelerated to murder? How shocked are we that 17-year-olds with rifles decided they had to maintain order when no one else would? Everyone could see what was happening in Kenosha. It was getting crazier by the hour.”
Critics of Carlson were outraged over the segment.
“@TuckerCarlson has proven himself to be dangerous with his current platform and should be removed.”
This is a morally reprehensible statement, the implications of which being both a threat to public safety and a complete disregard of civil liberties. @TuckerCarlson has proven himself to be dangerous with his current platform and should be removed. #FireTuckerCarlson https://t.co/8lsT06CmjQ

“If they don’t take action after this, every one of Fox News’s executives, directors, and advertisers is complicit in Tucker Carlson’s racist, murderous rants.”
