“Complete Lies” Dan Scavino refutes Atlantic “smear” says “I was with POTUS in France”

According to White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications, the Atlantic piece claiming President Trump disparaged dead veterans is “Complete lies.”

Scavino wrote “I was with POTUS in France, with Sarah, and have been at his side throughout it all. Complete lies by “anonymous sources” that were “dropped” just as he begins to campaign (and surge).”

“A disgraceful attempt to smear POTUS, 60 days before the Presidential Election! Disgusting!!” he added.

The Atlantic piece has caused a firestorm, with many Trump allies refuting the story.

The Atlantic piece by Jeffrey Goldberg claims in 2018:

“Trump said, “Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.” In a separate conversation on the same trip, Trump referred to the more than 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood as “suckers” for getting killed.’

Rob Crilly of the Washington Examiner wrote:

White House official has sent an image of redacted email apparently showing “bad weather call” was indeed cause of Trump not attending Aisne-Marne American Cemetery in 2018.

Dan Scavino and Stephen Miller were also both there – and deny Atlantic story

Atlantic not backing down despite some pretty strong, on record denials from people who were there “We stand behind our reporting,” said Adrienne LaFrance, the Atlantic’s executive editor.
