CO Dems Kill Bill that Informed Parents if a School Employee Gave Illegal Drugs to a Student

Colorado House Democrats killed a bill that according to Colorado Republicans would have required that parents be informed if a school employee is charged with providing illegal substances to a student.

The Colorado Senate GOP tweeted:

Democrats care more about criminals than crime victims.

Last night, @COHouseDem KILLED Senate Bill 16.

It would have required that parents be informed if a school employee is charged with providing illegal substances to a student.

This bill passed unanimously in the Senate.

The author of this bill is Senator Bob Rankin (R-Carbondale), who has fought hard the last two sessions to help protect minors and students.
