CNN’s Toobin suspended from New Yorker for exposing private parts during Zoom call

Regular CNN analyst Jeffrey Toobin has been suspended from the New Yorker after allegedly exposing his penis and masturbating on a Zoom call.

Toobin did not deny the charges.

Toobin told Motherboard “I made an embarrassingly stupid mistake, believing I was off-camera. I apologize to my wife, family, friends and co-workers.”

Toobin added “I believed I was not visible on Zoom. I thought no one on the Zoom call could see me. I thought I had muted the Zoom video.”

According to a report on Vice Media two people who spoke anonymously said they saw Toobin “jerking off.”

Vice media reported “the two sources described a juncture in the election simulation when there was a strategy session, and the Democrats and Republicans went into their respective break out rooms for about 10 minutes. At this point, they said, it seemed like Toobin was on a second video call. The sources said that when the groups returned from their break out rooms, Toobin lowered the camera. The people on the call said they could see Toobin touching his penis. Toobin then left the call. Moments later, he called back in, seemingly unaware of what his colleagues had been able to see, and the simulation continued.”

Robby Starbuck commented on Twitter “Just… wow. Jeffrey Toobin’s apology is the weirdest part, it’s basically “I’m sorry I didn’t turn the camera off” instead of “I’m sorry that I’m a psycho and whipped my d*ck out during a work zoom”.

Harmeet Dhillon wrote “CNN’s chief legal analyst’s been a known degenerate for many years. This isn’t as bad as the whole mistress/abortion pressure/deny paternity/deny child support/deadbeat facts. The New Yorker suspends Jeffrey Toobin after CNN analyst exposed himself on Zoom”
