CNN under fire for tweet on Waukesha Christmas horror leaving out the driver who did it

CNN is under fire for a bizarre take on the Waukesha Christmas horror.

CNN tweeted “Waukesha will hold a moment of silence today, marking one week since a car drove through a city Christmas parade, killing six people and injuring scores of others.”

There was no mention in the tweet of the suspected driver Darrell E. Brooks, 39, of Milwaukee who has been charged with five counts of first-degree intentional homicide.

Here are some of the responses:

“Was it a self-driving car?”

“WHO DROVE THE CAR SAY HIS NAME”

“Notice neither the race nor the politics of the perpetrator makes it into the headline. Wish every tragedy is reported on with the same care.”
