Cindy McCain set to land coveted ambassador role in Biden admin

According to a new report from Politico “President JOE BIDEN is preparing to name Republican CINDY MCCAIN to a coveted ambassador post in Western Europe in what would be his administration’s first Republican appointee to a Senate-confirmed position.”

“McCain is undergoing vetting to be nominated for U.S. ambassador to the U.N. World Food Programme, a mission based in Rome, according to two sources with knowledge of the matter. This comes after the administration declined to install at least one member from the opposing party in a Cabinet position — a practice of three consecutive presidents,” the report adds.

Prior to the 2020 election Cindy McCain narrated a campaign ad for Joe Biden called “Like John Did” highlighting the friendship between Joe Biden and her late husband.

In the video, McCain says “They’d fight like hell on the floor, and then they’d go eat lunch together.”

She adds “they always put their friendship and their country first.”

Cindy McCain also appeared at Biden’s virtual DNC convention and gave him a boost among supporters of her late husband.
